Someplace That Is Else…

New Addition

December20

Korey and I have adopted our first kid. Actually it’s a puppy, but it might as well be a kid. His name is Ripper (After Rupert “Ripper” Giles). He’s a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier Mix. Which, literally translated, means “lightning fast.” He sleeps with us and follows us everywhere we go in the house. He’s aftraid of the staircase, though… we’re working on that. Anyway, here’s a picture so you can be jealous! :)

That’s me holding him because he won’t slow down long enough to not be a little blur in the distance. ISN’T HE ADORABLE?!

I’m "Workin’ For The Weekend," He’s "Workin’ Overtime"

October28

I just want to say how proud I am to have such an amazing boyfriend. Korey told me earlier today that he’s accumulated 22 hours of overtime - and he’s working til 9 tonight. Not only am I glad one of us has a real job, I’m glad that he enjoys working. He works his little tail off so we can afford things like this awesome house. I’m so lucky. I LOVE MY KOREY!!

We Made Our Bed…

October21

It’s been almost two months since we started this project, and by tonight, it will be done.

I can’t believe we did it. We built a bed! A HUGE bed. It weighs as much as a small truck, but it’s sturdy and substantial. And we built it from scratch.

Hopefully it will be around for a while. It’ll hold us up. It’ll always be there waiting for us to curl up on it and relax. And we built it from scratch.

We might have to reinforce the second floor of our town home to hold up its massive weight. But it’s ours. We’re proud of it. And we built it from scratch.

We worked together to overcome differences in creative opinion. We had to ask for help; and we got it. We put everything we had into it. Our time and our money. And we built it from scratch.

Korey and I - We rely on eachother. We hold eachother up. Hopefully, we’ll be around for a while. The mere though of us being together is too much weight for some people. We’re always there for eachother to curl up next to and relax. We work together. We’ve put everything we’ve got into being together, our time and our money. We’ve had to ask for help. But we’re proud of our relationship, especially because we built it from scratch.

Insane Troll Logic: When Josh saw our progress he said, “You’re cutting the boards yourselves? How butch!”
